Eric Crispin

Our speaker was Eric Crispin, a VP in the real estate field, an architect, and a past club member. He is the Honorary Consul for Brazil.  Eric said that there are 43 countries represented by Consuls in Honolulu, 6 are career General Consuls, the rest are part-time or volunteer Honorary Consuls. The goal is goodwill and furthering trade.  Eric organizes monthly meetings, and interactions with immigration, the military and government.  Duties tend to be 5 - 10 calls per week, 5 - 10 emails per week, 2 deportations and 3 deaths a year, various state visits, document services for visas, voting, marriage and birth certificates.

$501 Aloha Dollars for Hawaii Island Hurricane Relief

We often do recognition with accompanying donations.  Good targets for the donations are Paul Harris Fund, Polio Plus, the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise Foundation, the Sunrise Club general fund, and eGlobal Family.

We collected happy dollars for the Big Island hurricane relief effort, where 1900 families are still without power.
