Nov 23, 2026 7:15 AM
Janna Hoshide, VP of Workforce Development from the Healthcare Association of Hawaii will share how the organization is working to address Hawai‘i’s growing healthcare workforce needs, including an ambitious initiative to develop healthcare learning labs in 30 high schools across the state. With the first lab completed and a second underway, these spaces are designed to introduce students to healthcare careers and help build a stronger pipeline of local talent. Shelterbox - Understanding the Work Behind the Impact
Mar 15, 2027 7:15 AM
Every organization has stories, challenges, and lessons that aren't visible from the outside. This conversation offers a behind-the-scenes look at our work, the realities we face, and how our community can better understand and contribute to meaningful change. ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to families who have lost their homes to natural disasters or conflict. Founded in 2000, the organization delivers practical items like tents, water filters, blankets, and tools to help people recover and rebuild their lives.

Apr 10, 2027 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Thanks to the generous sponsorship and dedication of Texaco Hawaii, along with the leadership efforts of the Honolulu District Principals overseeing the event's planning, we can successfully uphold this annual tradition.
The 2026 Speech Festival comprised over 350 students from 34+ of our district’s elementary schools. We plan to have more students participating this year and as such, we will be needing a large number of judges yet again.
Parking areas will be reserved for all judges along with training, refreshments, and most importantly, a fun and exciting time watching our future co-workers and civic leaders. If you choose to serve as a judge, you will receive more detailed instructions and information as the date of the event nears. The success of the Speech Festival for thirty-five years is possible because of the many volunteers from the district and school levels and from our community organizations and businesses.
Please use this 2027 Speech Festival Judges (Google Form:) if you are interested in volunteering to be a judge for the 2026 Honolulu District Speech Festival. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us:
