On Saturday, October 17, Read To Me International held their annual fundraiser at Kapiolani Community College’s Ka Ikena Dining Room. The sold out event included a silent auction, live entertainment, a wine pull, and dinner prepared by Chef David Miyamoto and the students of the KCC Culinary Institute of the Pacific. Proceeds from this event provides resources that support the many wonderful programs offered by Read To Me, such as workshops and presentations for educators and parents, hosting read alouds and growing their leeward coast program that fosters a new level of communication and confidence for participating families. Members from the Rotary of Honolulu Sunrise Club were in attendance and assisted with the live auction of scrumptious desserts!
