We ask volunteers to wear shoes, gloves and comfortable gardening clothes. Most of the equipment is on site, but volunteers can bring pruning shears and gardening tools. District 5000 made great progress on the garden area in the last few months. It is not as big a jungle, though lots of additional work is needed. We will start at 8:00am and finish about 12:00 pm, noon. We will join together for lunch that is provided, and finish about 1:00pm. The site is an hour drive from downtown, people can have quality fellowship time if they carpool. The club will start to arrange carpool information and requirements. Thanks! |

From Allen... Any help would be greatly appreciated! “In addition to support for household goods, we decided that since we are going to be down at the Kahauiki Site this Saturday from 8:00-noon, we would install some window curtain rods that HIS had donated for the residents, so we are soliciting help for installing them. It is a pretty simple setup, but we need volunteers. Would any of your members be interested in helping out? We especially need volunteers with a cordless drill and a step stool. No talent required, but need helpers.” If you have any questions, please contact Allen directly. akamemoto@hotmail.com He was unable to get onto clubrunner to set an event and mass email. Thank you! |
