Honolulu Zoo Society Executive Director

David Earles has more than 20 years of successful leadership, marketing and fundraising experience in Hawaii. One year ago, he was named the Executive Director of the Honolulu Zoo Society – the nonprofitorganization that supports the Honolulu Zoo.

His previous work experience includes Executive Director of the Hawaii Meth Project, Marketing Director for Castle Medical Center and Development Director for Catholic Charities Hawaii.

David has served on a number of nonprofit boards, twice been president of the Kailua Chamber of Commerce and has led other volunteer organizations including:

• The Hawaii chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals
• The Windward Civilian Military Council, and
• The Kailua Historical Society

David holds an MBA as well as a Master’s Degree in Psychology. His passion, (besides golf, scuba diving and networking) is empowering youth to find their place in bettering this world through service. He has three children including 19-year-old twins and is married to a nurse who works at Castle Medical Center.
