Join us for a meaningful and family-friendly Rotary Day of Service with Travel Visions Aloha for the Blind on Saturday, April 12 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Gardens.
Rotary volunteers will be paired 1:1 with blind or visually impaired participants for a guided, sensory-rich walk through the India and Sri Lanka garden sections. Volunteers will receive a training guide and video ahead of time, and a short virtual training is recommended on Thursday, April 10 from 5:30–6:15 PM.
This event includes:
One-on-one participant pairing
Guided sensory garden tour
Catered lunch at 12:30 PM
Optional fish feeding and audio scavenger hunt
Setup and serving help from JustServe volunteers
Important notes:
Volunteers should arrive at the start time for guide/participant pairing
End time is flexible, but volunteers are encouraged to stay until their participant has safely departed
Water will be provided; additional beverages like juice are welcome
Parking is limited—carpooling is strongly encouraged

Career Day at Ka'iulai Elementary – Let’s Inspire the Next Generation! We are looking to create a partnership with Ka'iulani Elementary School - they are very excited to have our support and involvement! We’ve been invited to participate in an elementary school Career Day, where we’ll visit 3–4 classrooms and speak briefly (just a few minutes!) about what we do. These are K–5 students, so you don’t need to give a full resume or explain complex industry stuff. The goal is to spark curiosity and show kids that careers come in many shapes—and that it’s okay to dream big (or change their minds later!). EVERYONE has an interesting story, even YOU!
