Hawaii Symphony Orchestra
Jul 17, 2017
Michael Titterton recently accepted the position of President of the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, an honor he never anticipated in his wildest dreams. He hopes that his lack of musical qualifications will be compensated for, at least partially, by his unbridled enthusiasm for classical music, and his belief that access to it is an essential component of a healthy life, for both a person and a community. Previously he was President and General Manager of Hawaii Public Radio, from which he retired in 2016 after 17 largely joyful years. |

Join us on a special tour of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Inouye Regional Center on Monday, September 25 at 9 a.m. and see what our very own Joe Ferraro had a hand in creating. This world-class facility consolidates NOAA programs and operations on the island of O’ahu into a single facility on federally-owned property at Ford Island. NOAA in Hawai’i manages an extensive portfolio of programs addressing fisheries, ocean, coastal, climate, and atmospheric issues in the Pacific. These programs are diverse and geographically wide-ranging, affecting not just Hawai’i, but also the larger Pacific region. The tour is anticipated to last around 90 minutes and will be limited to the first 25 members who sign up. Joe Ferraro will be coordinating the sign up for this tour. Please note that the following information will be required to enable access to this facility:
